Position: School Hearing Screener

Location: Frederick, MD

Pay: $22 to $23/hour

Experience: Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or healthcare setting preferred; training provided.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Type: Full-time; Temporary

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM

HB Staffing is seeking a School Hearing Screener to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

1. Conduct hearing and vision screenings for students aged 3–18, primarily in grades 3–6.
2. Travel to multiple schools within Frederick County (up to 20+ miles).
3. Operate screening equipment and accurately document test results.
4. Follow established testing procedures and maintain data integrity.
5. Interact professionally with students, staff, and school aides.
6. Manage time effectively to complete daily schedules.
7. Adapt to varying school environments and schedules.
8. Maintain professionalism and adhere to dress code guidelines.
9. Follow safety and confidentiality protocols.

Position Requirements:

1. Bilingual in Spanish.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
3. Reliable transportation to travel to assigned schools.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to stay organized in busy school environments.
