Position: Public Housing Intake Specialist  

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Pay: $17 to $17.25/hour

Experience: Previous admin, leasing, insurance, or related experience.

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Type: Part-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday, anytime between 7:30am - 4:30am (20 to 25 hours a week) 

HB Staffing is seeking a Public Housing Intake Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team!   

Job Description: 

1. Knowledge of the regulations, policies, and laws (federal, state, and local) governing rental assistance, housing assistance, and social service programs.
2. Understanding of eligibility determination, recertification, and case management practices.
3. Familiarity with interviewing techniques, recordkeeping, and documentation procedures.
4. Strong writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, professional correspondence and reports.
5. Basic math skills and close attention to detail when maintaining and reviewing records.
6. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the public, vendors, contractors, and staff.
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, standard office equipment, and other software used to manage documentation and daily operations.
