Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist 

Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Pay: $23 to $26/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

HB Staffing is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team! 

Job Description:

1. Post and apply customer payments received via check, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card.
2. Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including unapplied cash, short payments, and billing issues.
3. Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
4. Perform collections activities professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships.
5. Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, account balances, payment status, and disputes.
6. Upload invoices to customer payment portals and manage portal accounts.
7. Maintain organized documentation and support month-end close activities.
8. Partner with the Controller and accounting team to ensure timely, accurate receivables.

Position Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable, cash application, or general accounting experience.
2. Experience processing payments across multiple methods (check, ACH, wire, credit card).
3. Collections and customer account management experience preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite required.
5. Experience with ERP or accounting software preferred.
6. Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence.
8. Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
9. Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
