Position: Elections Hardware Service Technician 

Location: City Of Industry, CA

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $20/hour 

Experience: Previous experience with hardware maintenance or repair, ideally with ballot reading or similar election equipment   

Education: High school diploma or GED; technical certification or relevant experience preferred  

Type: Full-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  

HB Staffing is seeking an Elections Hardware Service Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!   

 

Job Description: 

  1. Regularly check the performance of ballot-reading machines
  2. Ensure all machines are functioning correctly and efficiently
  3. Perform routine cleaning of ballot-reading machines to prevent malfunctions
  4. Replace any worn or damaged components as needed
  5. Identify and diagnose hardware issues that may arise with ballot-reading machines
  6. Perform necessary repairs or adjustments to resolve issues promptly
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
  8. Report any significant issues or recurring problems to the supervisor
  9. Help with the setup and breakdown of ballot reading machines at designated locations
  10. Ensure that machines are properly configured and prepared for use

 

Position Requirements:    

  1. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose hardware issues
  2. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  3. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  4. Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary
