1st Shift Extrusion Machine Operator - Paid Training!

Position: Extrusion Machine Operator

Location: Huntington Beach, CA

Pay: This position has a fixed rate of $22.25/hour

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule:

  1. Training Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm
  2. After Training: Friday - Tuesday or Thursday - Monday, 7:00am to 3:30pm

 

HB Staffing is seeking an Extrusion Machine Operator to join a growing and dynamic team! 


Experience and Education

  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  2. 1–2 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.
  3. Experience operating extrusion machines or similar industrial equipment is a plus.
  4. Experience with machine setups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
  5. Familiarity with quality control, product inspection, labeling, and packaging.
  6. Experience meeting productivity and quality targets in a fast-paced production environment.
  7. Technical training or certification in manufacturing, machine operation, or industrial technology preferred but not required.
  8. Forklift certification is a plus.


Skills and Abilities

  1. Safely operate extrusion and production equipment.
  2. Mechanical aptitude to adjust machine settings and parameters.
  3. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot material defects and take corrective action.
  4. Working knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  5. Read and follow work orders, operating procedures, and written instructions.
  6. Keep accurate production and quality records.
  7. Work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.
  8. Communicate clearly and work well with supervisors, quality staff, and production team members.


Physical Requirements

  1. Lift, carry, and move materials as needed in a manufacturing setting.
  2. Wear required PPE, including a respirator, during machine setup and production.
