Position: Sawmill Operator (CNC)

Location: Austin, TX

Pay: $18/hour

Experience:  

  1. Prior experience in commercial production or warehouse work is a plus, but not required.
  2. Saw operation or CNC Operation experience is preferred.

Type: Full-time; Contract  

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm 

  

HB Staffing is seeking a Sawmill Operator (CNC) to join a growing and dynamic team!   

 

Job Description: 

  1. Comfortable working part or all of your shift in a freezer (cold-weather gear provided).
  2. Follow OSHA safety guidelines, including proper handling of materials and equipment.
  3. Cut 10 pallets of ice blocks in an 8-hour shift.
  4. Keep an open line of communication with management about breaks and mealtimes.
  5. Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements such as bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  6. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.

 

Position Requirements:    

  1. Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, maintenance, and programming (training will be provided).
  2. Food handler’s permit (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  3. Ability to work overnight shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  4. Strong communication and people skills with the team.
  5. Ability to stay calm and focused in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
