Position: Ice Packer Expeditor
Location: Austin, TX
Pay: $17.50/hour
Experience: Prior experience in commercial production or warehouse work is a plus but not required.
Education: Food handler’s permit (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Type: Full-time; Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm
HB Staffing is seeking an Ice Packer Expeditor to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Monitor and coordinate daily production tasks to ensure ice blocks are cut, moved, and processed efficiently.
- Operate equipment such as walking pallet jacks and other production machinery safely and effectively.
- Ensure trash is disposed of properly and promptly throughout the shift.
- Assist with clearing snow and maintaining cleanliness in freezer areas as needed.
- Promptly report facility issues, equipment concerns, or safety hazards to management.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Wear required PPE in freezer and production areas at all times.
- Provide packing and sawmill support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
- Keep an open line of communication with management about breaks and mealtimes.
- Bring strong communication and people skills to the team.
- Stay calm and focused in time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
