    1) When I am on an assignment for one of HB Staffing Dental Placement's clients, who is my employer?
    It depends . . .
If you are referred by HB Staffing Dental Placements to a client, the client will pay you directly, they are your employer.
If you are a temporary employee of HB Staffing Dental Placements, (generally front office positions), HB Staffing will pay you weekly based upon the hours that you work and which are authorized by the Client.

    2) When do I use HB Staffing Dental Placement's timecards?
It is imperative that an HB Staffing Dental Placement's timecard be used every time you work in an office through HB Staffing Dental Placements regardless of who does payroll.

    3) How long does an assignment last?
Assignments may range in length from one day to six months or longer. Some situations will lead to working directly for our client.

    4) What should I do if my job duties are different than those that were described to me?
Please notify your HB Staffing Supervisor immediately, especially if safety is a concern.

    5) Can I drive the client or client representatives' car?
You may not (except without prior written permission from HB Staffing) operate machinery or motor vehicles or perform work other than that described at the time client placed the job order.

    6) What should I do if my assignment has ended?
Be sure to let your HB Staffing Supervisor know when your work assignment ends so we can consider you for a new assignment.

    7) What is the policy if I'm unable to report to work or will be in late?
If for any reason you must be late or absent from your assignment, notify HB Staffing Dental as soon as possible. This permits HB Staffing to meet our customer's needs by sending a replacement.

    8) When should I submit my timecard?
All timecards must be turned in by 12:00 A.M. Monday morning in order ensure that you will be paid on Friday of the same week (if you are being paid by HB Staffing and not the client).

    9) When can I expect to be paid?
HB Staffing Dental Placements payday is 12:00 noon Friday of the week you submit your properly filled-in timecard for the previous week (if Friday is a holiday, then payday will be the preceding Thursday). If the client chooses to pay you, you are subject to their payroll periods and pay dates.

    10) What should I do if I am injured while on assignment?
If an accident occurs and you are injured while on the job, call your HB Staffing Supervisor or safety coordinator immediately! You are employed by HB Staffing Dental Placements and covered by HB Staffing's Workers' Compensation Insurance. We must be notified immediately so that we can make sure you are given care and attention at the proper medical facility.

    11) What is HB Staffing's Referral Bonus Program?
HB Staffing offers a $50.00 Talent Scout Finder's Fee for each qualified employee referred to HB Staffing and who works for 80 hours or more. HB Staffing offers a $100.00 Client Referral Finder's Fee. Click the links for more information or contact an HB Staffing Supervisor for more information.

    12) Your corporate offices are in Huntington Beach. Do you find jobs for people in Orange County only?
We find jobs for people throughout Southern California – from San Diego to Los Angeles. Our primary service areas are Orange, San Diego, Riverside and Los Angeles counties.

    13) As a candidate, do I need to pay a fee for your placement services?
NO. The dental practice pays our fees.

    14) Are all your jobs temporary?
No. We have temporary assignments, temp-to-hire positions and permanent placement opportunities available to qualified candidates.

    15) As a temporary employee, how much, when and how will I get paid?
As a temporary, you will be paid a competitive wage for each hour that you work. We will tell you the rate at the time we offer you the assignment. Some of our dental practice clients work on a daily referral rate basis and will pay you directly. You will generally be paid by the end of the day or week by the practice based on the hours that you worked. In this arrangement, the dental practice may or may not deduct taxes from your check. If so, you will receive a W-4 form from the practice at year end; if not, you will receive a 1099 from the practice at year end.

In some cases, our clients want us to do the payroll of the temporary employee. In this case, you will be paid by our office on the Friday following the week that you worked and based on an authorized/signed timecard that you will submit to our office. In this case, you will receive a W-4 form from us at year end.

Whether you are paid by the dental practice or by our office, you must submit a timecard to us at the end of the day or week that you worked.

    16) What are the advantages of my registering with HB Staffing Dental Placements rather than seeking a position on my own?
We have access to the 'hidden job market'. Many dental practices do not advertise open positions, but rather use staffing services to fill their needs. We can give you complete details about a job opportunity and allow you to access the potential 'fit' to your needs. And if it is temporary work that you seek, we can offer you a wider variety of options/schedules than you are likely to find on your own.

    17) Do I have to accept every assignment or job opportunity offered to me?
NO. You can accept or decline any assignment or job opportunity offered.

    18) How do I register with you?
